Five sets were needed to separate Vibo and Verona in what has been a tight encounter. Thrilling from start to finish with sets decided on individual brilliance or mistakes, especially on the serve as only the fifth set went all Vibo’s way.
Michal Rak (Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “Our attitude has been excellent throughout the game. It certainly did not went as well as we’d liked, but we managed to recover from the difficult moments and obtain the victory. It’s obvious that we wanted the three points but we are happy we managed to seal it in the fifth set”.
Marco Meoni (Marmi Lanza Verona): “Our play was rather flowing. We had some difficulty when Vibo served well. We cannot be satisfied with the way the tie-break went, though, given that they dominated from start to finish”.
