Italy scored two wins against Australia as a visitor on the first weekend. Matches between Serbia and home team of Italy will be held in Pesaro, today and on Sunday.

„The World League is a tough competition, but so beautiful. Our primary objective is to reclaim our identity and these first two games in Italy are worth triple. We are not perfect yet, Serbia is not either, but right now, we have to think more about how we play, not opponent. I am glad of the atmosphere that was inhaled in Australia and how we played as a team. I am convinced that we will show these characteristics to everyone who comes to see us in Pesaro,“ said the head coach of Italy, Mauro Berruto on the press conference before the first match vs. Serbia,

„The Italian volleyball has a remarkable story behind, we wrote a small part of it by ourselves: we are not the owners of this jersey, but its guardians. The unconditional willingness of the 16 guys who are here and those who work in Rome (the rest of the summoned players) gives me a positive feeling,“ Berruto emphasized.
