The game held in Verona was the last friendly played by both teams before they leave on the World Cup.

Italian head coach Blengini changed his initial line-up from previous duel, introducing Vettori, Antonov and Anzani instead of Zaytsev, Juantorena and Buti. As the match went on, he changed all the starters.

Argentine expert Velasco also changed a lot during the game , ending it with the lineup filled with players that will mostly be used as backup options on the World Cup.

Solé and Poglajen scored 14 points each in Argentina. Vettori had 14 in Italy.
