In the other game, Bulgaria overcame the Netherlands 3-2 (25-14, 25-22, 18-25, 23-25, 15-9).
Dobriana Rabadzhieva showed a poweful performance in the winning team, finishing with 25 points. The top scorer in the Dutch team was Manon Nummerdor-Flier with 17.
In the next round, Brazil will face Bulgaria, while Germany plays against the Netherlands.
All European teams are using the International Cup in Rio to prepare for the continental championship (Septembar 26 – October 4), while Brazil warms up for the South American Championship.
