“In these first days of competition they showed a different rhythm and level compared to all other teams here in London . . . Fluency and power are hard to be combined at the same time, but that’s what I saw in Earls Court when they play,” said Cacciatori.
She noted the USA’s teamwork and peculiar coaching setup, divided by roles. She also picked out one player for special praise.
“I was amazed by setter Lindsey Berg and how easily she manages the sets for her attackers, with perfect schemes for front and back row.”
