Muagututia Garrett
Born in 1988 in the USA (Ocean side in California), he followed the footsteps of his mother. In High School he was in the basketball side as well as the volleyball side but in the end he decided to choose the latter. He joined UCLA in 2006 and got his first call in the national team in 2010. In 2011, he helped Volley Guada win the second division title in Spain, while he was in Finland last season with Raision Loimu.
“I don’t know the Italian league very well but I heard a lot of good things about it – said Garrett – I have always dreamt to play in Italy, and now Ortona gave me my big chance. I am sure this will be a good experience that will help me get better and that will benefit my career”.
