Two times in the same year, a 23-year-old the opposite hitter was crossed out from Italy NT roster at the last moment so it was not a surprise when Diouf refused to return to the national team for the Qualifications for the 2017 CEV European Championship.
But, she does not leave room for speculations on her future in Italy NT. Especially because Bonitta’s days on Italy’s bench are numbered.

As the current head coach of the national team said, this time I simply preferred to focus on the preparation for the new season.
