Trentino
It was a cold revenge of Trentino. Modena beat them in the last season’s final game of the Italian Cup, but now, reinforced by Lorenzetti, Trentino didn’t allow Modena to beat them twice in a row in the same competition.
Even though Modena had a better start and were leading almost all the time, Lorenzetti’s side have managed to make a huge comeback by winning an extended fourth set 30:28 and afterwards to take the tie-break for 3-2 victory.
Simone Giannelli had a huge faith in Filippo Lanza. The young Italian setter delivered a huge number of balls to the captain, who ended match with 23 points which marked him as a top scorer of the team. Jan Stokr added 17, Tine Urnaut 15, while Simon van de Vorde had 12.
In Modena, Earvin Ngapeth ended game with 27 points, Luca Vettori had 20. The Serbian receiver Nemanja Petric had 16 points.
Trentino will meet tomorrow Lube Civitanova in the final game! Recall that Lube downed Piacenza in five sets as well!
