They have lost the game of the playoff semifinals without playing a single minute.
One player has been tested positive on coronavirus in Almeria, while eleven players got negative tests, but the national federation, according to Almeria’s statement, decided to register the game 3-0.
Their official explanation was that these 11 players might develop the symptoms during the next few days even though the tests were negative.
When asked to find new dates for the game, they answered that there is a problem called “lack of dates”.
So, Almeria have lost the first game of the playoff semifinals to Teruel, so they will have to try to win the next two games in a row to advance to the finals.
The next game is scheduled for April 10.
