BVA takes lots of positives from Girls Youth Europeans

The Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) can proudly look at the results of the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls that were completed this past Sunday in Bar, Montenegro, as Turkey, Serbia and Greece finished third, fourth and fifth respectively to qualify for the 2013 FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship scheduled for July 26-August 4 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. This means that 50% (three out of six) of the teams set to represent Europe there is actually stemming from the BVA.

Turkey, Serbia and Greece did also qualify for the 2013 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) slated for July 14-19 in Utrecht (NED). The BVA was represented in the Youth European Championship – Girls also by another team, namely Montenegro, whose players eventually ended up their campaign in 12th place.
