The U15 group won the title in Bucuresti after five consecutive victories and only three sets lost: 3:0 (25-8, 25-9, and 25-16) with CNNT CRAIOVA, 3:0 (25-10, 25-11, and 25-13) with CSS 2 BUCURESTI, 3:1 (25-17, 25-20, 22-25, and 25-13) with CSS 2 BAIA MARE, 3:1 (28-30, 25-18, 25-4, and 25-20) with CSS Nicu Gane FALTICENI and 3:1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-16, and 25-20) with LPS Bihorul ORADEA.

The following players, coached by Iulian Radulescu and Cezar Aciobanitei, have contributed to the final victory in Bucuresti: Radu Dediulescu, Catalin Aciobanitei, Edvin Ali, Andrei Jieanu, Dogan Baiburi, Ovidiu Darlaczi, Razvan Minghiras, George Lutu, Sebastian Ivan, Eduard Popa, Eduard Ionescu and George Popescu.

In Bucuresti, Cătălin Aciobăniţei (brother of Adrian Aciobanitei, MVP in the U19 and U17 age groups this year, and in the U17 and U15 divisions last year) was voted best setter, while Radu Dediulescu, the same as last year, was named best middle-blocker. Dediulescu, Catalin Aciobaniţei, Edvin Ali, Jieanu and Ionescu were champions with the U15 also last year in Toplita, and Dediulescu, Cătălin Aciobăniţei and Darlaczi were included on the roster of the team that won the U17 title this year in Dej.

We wanted very much to win, but we were afraid a little because the team was not homogeneous. We succeeded to concentrate, our play was well organized and finally we won. It was hard, but we proved that we are the best team”, head coach Iulian Radulescu who has won in his long career eighteen national titles at junior level, plus eight silver and six bronze medals, says.

The last obstacle for Tomis to be champions in all age categories will be in Bucuresti where the final tournament for the U13 division is set to take place through May 30-June 1.
