In the last five years Ljubljana was four time MEL-champion. At once, for Hypo Tirol Saturday’s victory was the retribution for last year’s defeat at home. ACH Volley LJUBLJANA, by the way, is still represented in an European Cup competition. After the third place in the Champions-League group stage they qualified for the CEV Cup and advanced in the semi-final.
Prior to this Mladost Marina KASTELA (CRO) won versus host Chemes Humenne in five sets (17:25/26:24/28:26/18:25/15:13). 1100 spectators visited the Bronze medal game of the MEL Men Final four. Already in the semi-final the Slovaks abandoned the field to Hypo Tirol after five sets.
