Odina Aliyeva will wear the jersey of two different women’s volleyball clubs for the second successive season.
Shenzhen’s chances of fighting for a title in the 2022–23 Women’s Super League got better with the latest signing. Aliyeva, a pillar of the Azerbaijan National Team, has joined the club, which now has as many as seven foreign players, possibly the most in a single Chinese club ever.
The 32-year-old outside hitter started the season playing in the Philippines in the ranks of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. Aliyeva, just like last season, will wear the jersey of two different clubs. Who knows, she might join another one at the end of the playoffs in China for which she actually strengthened Shenzhen and which have just started.
