The Croatian Volleyball Federation has reaffirmed its confidence in Frane Žanić, re-electing him as President during the 22nd General Assembly Meeting. Žanić conveyed his appreciation for the confidence bestowed upon him and his team, recognizing both the difficulties and achievements encountered over the previous year. This included surmounting the impact of losing Ante Baković, a prominent personality in Croatian sport and esteemed former president of the federation, who passed away in January 2023.

Under Žanić’s leadership, the Federation has made notable progress, particularly in nurturing young talent to elevate Croatia’s presence in world and European volleyball circuits. Žanić emphasized the importance of investing in younger players to strengthen the senior categories. He outlined ambitious goals for the men’s team, including qualifying for the FIVB Challenger and aiming for a spot in the World League. For the women’s team, the focus will be on integrating young players to build a competitive squad for future championships.

Žanić also expressed his appreciation for the support from the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and the Croatian Olympic Committee, acknowledging their role as crucial partners in the development of Croatian sports.

The Assembly also elected members to the Management Board. Petar Sprčić will serve as Vice President, alongside Josip Škorić as 1st Vice President, Vlado Bagarić as 2nd Vice President, and Zenka Urlić as 3rd Vice President. The board is further strengthened with the inclusion of Arduino Popović, Željko Jurčević, Dragutin Novak, Vladimir Brnečić, Vedran Juravić, Duško Živković, Dragutin Novak, Kristina Krpina, Mladen Pleše, Ksenija Vržina, and Sandra Baturina.
