Serbia downed African side in straight sets which was not unusual but the domination that it showed by leaving the opponent on 21 points in entire match and on three in the third set was amazing.
And to make it even more spectacular, Serbia let Algeria win only one of three points in the third set by themselves! Two came as a result of Serbian errors.
Brankica Mihajlović and Jovana Stevanović scored 11 points each for Serbia. This fact also shows how Algeria was poor – two players scored two points and three other collected one.
The Dominican Republic continued with a great campaign on the tournament, outplaying Cuba 3-1. Interestingly, the most efficient player in the winning team had only 12 points – Prisilla Altagracia Rivera Brens.
Cuban team was led by Jennifer Yanet Álvarez Hernández with 22.
