„I think that we had a perfect tournament. Yes, we didn’t have luck in the third set (in semifinal). We could win and be in the final game. But, now we need to keep our feet on the ground. We are small country, practically without domestic championship and now we missed six players, which is huge for us. We missed Sokolov, Skrimov, Zhekov, Salparov, Nikolay Nikolov and of course, Kaziyski. Here, we got all the sympathies from the crowd. We did an amazing job,“ Nikolov stated to our reporter on the scene in Sofia.
Will you continue playing for the national team?
„I will play in the Olympic qualifications, if I receive a call, of course. If we manage to qualify, I will try do my best at the Olympics. Otherwise, my last game in the national team will be before the New Year. This time definitely,“ Bulgarian opposite spoke bluntly.
