ROAD TO RIO W: Cherry on a cake! Japan thrill 10,000 fans by beating Guidetti’s side

One of the best matches at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo, Japan, was seen at its closing and between the two teams which secured their spot in Rio!

The hosts once again wanted to thrill home crowd at packed stands of “Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium” (10,000 spectators) while The Netherlands saw it as a challenge. Thus, their coach Giovanni Guidetti sent the best line-up to battle Japan.

Home team prevailed in a five-set thriller with Miyu Nagaoka highlighting – 25 points. Saori Kimura added 17. In the Dutch team, Lonneke Slöetjes topped with 32 points. Celeste Plak contributed with 17.

As it is already known – Italy, The Netherlands, Japan and Korea will go to 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. CONGRATULATIONS!
