He eventually included onto his dream team two opposite players, one from Bank BPS Fakro MUSZYNA and a second from the roster of Tauron MKS DABROWA GORNICZA.
„Elzbieta Skowronska did show an excellent performance in every single match of the past season, being awarded MVP in the final stage of the national cup as well as at the end of the regular season in the national league. It was her best season ever. On the other hand, Anna Werblinska also played superbly, and though she did not have any exceptional performance she was very consistent throughout the year. After every season she is making it closer to Europe’s Volleyball elite” Klos says.
The libero of Poland’s national team and Bank BPS Fakro MUSZYNA, Paulina Maj, was also retained for that „dream team” after she got Klos’ preferences at the end of a close race with Mariola Zenik who plays for the likes of Poland’s two-time national champions Atom Trefl SOPOT. Australian Rachel Rourke was quite understandably one of the outside hitters that were picked out by Klos. „She was, without any doubt, the best player of our national league this season and she even registered an all-time record breaking the 500-point threshold. She was really the best” Klos adds. She was not the only player of Atom Trefl chosen by Klos for Ukrainian-born middle-blocker Yuliya Shelukhina – who now holds Polish cizitenship – is one of two middle-blockers (together with Agnieszka Bednarek-Kasza of Bank BPS Fakro) on the roster. „Though Bednarek–Kasza did not play really good in the last matches of the season she remains one of the best players of her team and of the whole league as well. As for Yuliya, she had a very good season, being brilliant in blocking, one of the most effective players in this fundamental during the Playoffs. She chiefly contributed to the victories of her side in the last stages of the season”.
To complete the „dream team” Klos has retained young setter Joanna Wolosz, who this past year played for Aluprof BIELSKO-BIALA and will be moving soon to Italy to represent there CL bronze medalists Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO. „She was better than any other setter this year, working perfectly with every single player from her team. She is about to move to Italy and this is the right decision for her career to progress. I am convinced that she will improve and this will be a good benefit also for our national team”.
