“We are very happy with this victory. It’s hard to beat USA. Big satisfaction for us to do it. We are not qualified yet. We will have to fight tomorrow. We are rested and ready to do it. We have started matches here badly at the beginning. We started to play aggressively today in the second set. We must improve in this element. It’s a mental thing. USA had fewer chances in the middle block tonight.”
USA coach John Speraw:
“Very disappointing. We came here with the same goal as Poland – to qualify for the Olympics and win the tournament. Very dissappointing. We were not skilled enough iin passing, serving and defensive execution tonight. We weren’t ready to win this match. We need to grow and improve quickly, that includes me, as fast as we can beginning with the Russia match tomorrow.”
