On the morning before the clash, Mariusz Wlazły complained to back problems and missed the match which Skra won 3-1 so, receiver/outside hitter Nicolas Maréchal had to step in on that position due to fact that Gromadowski was not fully recovered from foot injury.
Besides Wlazły and Gromadowski, several other players were not fit for the match. Nicolas Maréchal, Andrzej Wrona, Facundo Conte and Nicolás Uriarte struggled with the common cold and played against Ziraat in spite of fever and weakness.
