Two stars, Maxim Mikhailov and Sergey Tetyukhin were the team leaders, and each one of them selected players for his team, from the list of players voted by the fans.
Maxim Mikhailov’s team won 3:1 (25:23, 25:21, 17:25, 25:20), but the score is the least important thing in a spectacle like this.
Players tried to please the audience. Their main goal was to present moves and plays which are not usually seen in regular volleyball games.
“The outcome was not the most important thing. We wanted primarily to make a good show. We presented items, which are not seen in normal meetings. Some “numbers” were arranged before the game, but players improvised”, said Maksim Mikhailov after the game.
