Serbia player Srecko Lisinac:  “We started very well in the match, but the first set was rather difficult and unfortunately we could not find our game.”

Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: “It was a very intense match. Russia managed to win in the very important moments. They defended really well, while we served badly. It was difficult to stop Nikolay Pavlov. We will change our tactics and we will probably play better tomorrow.”

Russia captain Sergey Makarov: “It was a well-deserved win. It was our day, we earned three points and we will play even better tomorrow.”

Russia coach Andrey Voronkov: “We attacked successfully even though Serbia tried hard to prevent us from doing that. The first set was a long one because we relaxed when we had a four point advantage. Eventually we managed to stanovercome d it and we are happy with the result.”
