The president of the International Volleyball Federation Ary Graca has commented on the incident that has happened at the World Championship. One Polish fan accused Spiridonov that he spat on him.

Spirik

Spirik

A professional volleyball player has no right to behave in this way. Professional athlete doesn’t have the right to react like that. It is disrespectful of the crowd and volleyball! At this tournament he made two mistakes. He shot at the public from imaginary rifle, and after the game against Poland he spat at fan. We have no choice, except to punish him. We should do it” says Graça for R-Sport.

right he deserves on that. russian anthem is booed everywhere in europe now, in every competition, concert like eurovision as well. he lost control and professional player shouldn’t react like that. he should accept and ignore it.

It doesnt matter for us if Russian anthem booed everywhere. First is not true, second it just shows low level of education of the people. Sport should not be connected to politics and politically obsessed people have to understand it.

norasi come on some crazy bored children whistled, they are everywhere. we didn’t show agression/violece to russian players. our supporters are really nice, have respect but sometimes only whistling at matches when weaker team playing with stronger team, they whistling on stronger team during serving to give more chances for weaker team to make both teams play on equal level, whistling is only to disturb. spiridonov also must understand in europe are strong ant-russian news talking all the time how russians are bad and i’m sure in russia medias are also anti-european. when he was at poland or anywhere in europe he should watch tv news there and understand.i think whistling is not offensive when we look at all aspects.

@ renan – nice name you choosed for a russian. No one would ever notice from your posts that you are russian. NO one.
And to get back to th subject – there are lots of witnesses of Spiridonov spitting on the fan and his machine gun gesture was during the match and cameras recorded it.
So whats your point, brainwashed ruski – cameras are anti russian and they lie?
