It means that in season 2015/2016, Russian teams will not compete in playoffs! The winner will be the first placed team in regular season. It is suggestion by RVF, but it’s not official yet.
“The main question on the agenda was the competition system in Men’s Super League. Our suggestion is that the every team should play 26 matches and after this phase we could announce the winner. This competition format is approved by Russian Volleyball Federation and the most important thing is that clubs supported us during the meeting. But, it’s not official yet. If our team reaches Olympics earlier, we could organize Final Four for example” explains Yeremenko.
Russian officials want to change competition format because of Olympic games in Rio 2016! Zenit is title holder!
