In the 1st leg played in Kazan, the Polish side made quite an upset by scoring a tie-break win. Therefore, Zenit simply have to defeat Skra in the rematch in order to advance among the top 4 teams of the competition.
Many things will depend on one of the best players currently in the volleyball world – Wilfredo Leon.
“Leon is a man. He is not from another planet and he is not a machine. Yes, he can sometimes show cosmic performance and he can do many great things, but he also can be sometimes nervous and make mistakes. We will play in a very hot atmosphere in Lodz, but our team is consisted of experienced players who have played in front of such a crowd for many times in their careers. It will not be easy, but it will be the players who will decide the winner, not the fans” said Zenit head coach Vladimir Alekno.
The game between PGE Skra Belchatow and Zenit Kazan is scheduled for Thursday, 18:00 (CET).
