Russia only struggled in the first set, but upon finding the rhythm, they maintained a high level of play until the end to take revenge on Belgium for defeat in 2015.
Yana Shcherban was the top scorer for the winning team with 10 points, while Belgian Charlotte Leys finished with nine.
