The 34th edition of the South American Women’s Championship will be marked by the return to the field of the Brazilian team, the silver medalist from the Olympic Games in Tokyo and the holder of 21 continental titles. Squad led by José Roberto Guimarães will face Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia.
Competition will be played in a single round-robin format (each team plays with every other team once). Two first-placed teams from the continental tournament will qualify for the 2022 World Championship in Russia.
