Voleibol.pe revealed that one surprising name might appear on Luizomar’s list – a 37-year-old Géminis Comas opposite Patricia Soto, who did not play in the national team for years. Brazilian expert himself did not confirm this.

“I do not want to give names. I do not want to create false expectations. What matters is to win, we all have to be focused on the same result,” said Luizomar, who has been appointed as Peruvian NT head coach in January.

He was asked to comment on performances of a 15-year-old sensation Thaisa McLeod, who was one of the players that highlighted the finish of the Regular Season in Peruvian top division (Liga Nacional Superior de Voleibol), playing for Sporting Cristal.

“I see a very interesting league, many young players from youth categories. I could see Thaisa McLeod in action and enjoyed in a player of that height, with those characteristics of play. I see her play and I am delighted, there is material to work in the long term,” he added.
