Fenerbahçe Opet and Türk Hava Yolları achieved victories in the early matches of the seventh round of the 2021/22 Turkish Women’s Volleyball Championship.
Fantastic start of the biggest sensation in 2021/22 Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi, PTT, is slowly crumbling. The Ankara team suffered its second consecutive defeat after a 5-0 record. Both defeats came from some of the biggest candidates for the title, which, after all, shows that PTT can hardly strive for the greatest achievements this season. Fenerbahçe won against them in straight sets, partially 25-19, 25-19, and 25-20. Russian Arina Fedorovtseva was the best scorer of the ‘Yellow Angels’ with 18 points.
With the victory in four sets over Bolu Bld., the players of Türk Hava Yolları broke out at the top of the tables, most likely temporarily, in the competition. American Maddison Kingdon Rishel was the most efficient individual in the ranks of THY with 16 points. Aslı Kalaç set up four blocks, while Bulgarian Dobriana Rabadzhieva had a reception of 79% (14 digs, two errors, 44% perfect).
