A 23-year-old American Megan Courtney has finished the 2017/18 season despite the fact it did not start yet. As she posted on her Instagram profile, she sustained the anterior cruciate ligament injury for the second time in her career.
„My heart is hurt but never broken. I’ve done it once. I can do it again. Yesterday, I suffered my second ACL injury of my career only two days into my journey in Turkey. I am heading home tomorrow to start the recovery process. Even though I was just getting to know all my teammates and great coaching staff at Çanakkale, I want to thank them all for the amazing accommodations and support they have given me in the last 24 hours,“ the Pennsylvania State University graduate wrote and added she is ready to take on every challenge that will come her way, including this injury.
Courtney, a 2017 FIVB World Grand Champions Cup participant, came to Çanakkale from the Polish club Impel Wrocław.
