TUR W: Vakifbank without Gozde and Naz in 2018/2019

by WoV

The sad news came from the Turkish champions!

Gozde Kirdar

Gozde

Vakifbank ISTANBUL will be without two very important players in the next season. According to many sources Gözde Kirdar announced the retirement after this season or better say after the Final Four of the Champions League in Romania.

Somehow this was expected especially after the awarding ceremony for the Turkish champions, coach Guidetti thanked her for everything she did for the club.

On the other side, one of the best setter Naz Aydemir Akyol will take a year off because she wants to get pregnant. Some sources said that she is already pregnant but the rumor is not confirmed.

At least, they should have waited for world championship. Turkish national team is losing two of the core players. Now, they have no chance in VNL or the world championship.
