“We didn’t do anything on the court. It was our worst performance, I think, in the last two or three years. The other side, USA, played perfect volleyball at a high level. We must learn a lot from the USA team today.
USA coach John Speraw:
“I was very happy with the way we started. I think Micah Christenson continues to improve in the way he runs our offense. The second and third sets were similar in some regards. Iran started serving the ball much tougher. They switched to jump serves. They were getting us to pass the ball off the net. When you’re playing that game with Iran, it can be very difficult. Their defense is very good and their transition is very good.”
