USA coach John Speraw:

When you play these back-to-back matches they are always very different. Often players that have a really good night at one night aren’t as good in the next. For our team, we had some players who maybe weren’t as good as they were last night. But we had Aaron Russell come back and play exceptionally well for us.”

Poland coach Stephane Antiga:

Tonight we had our chance in the second set and then it was a lesson. I was pretty impressed with the level of block. I knew that USA could play so well in block defence. We have improved (our block) a lot. We lost our passion, which I think would explain our hitting mistakes. They wanted to score and we know what we have to improve on.”
