After 14 years of professional volleyball in which he played in ten countries around the globe, member of the US National Team from 2002 to 2009, decided to go to retirement due to both family and personal reasons.

„Honestly, the main reason for the end of my volleyball career is frequent traveling, living out of a suitcase and short stays in some homes, which in fact were not our home. Another reason is that my body began to speak to me, and the pain that accompanied me every day was sometimes very strong. Over the last four years I struggled with the pain in my knee and left foot. Most days of the season, I had to take painkillers to somehow cope with the pain. The decision was well thought out, it was maturing for a long time and was not easy to be taken,“ Billings said for Polish media.
