The players and the staff have been working hard in the past months to fulfill this dream and finally on Wednesday the splendid “Margon Arena” will host the home side and Azerbaijan’s Rabita BAKU for the second round of action in Pool B.
DRESDNER SC is one of the rookies included in this year’s starting field.
“Even though we lost our first match to Fenerbahce Universal ISTANBUL last week in Turkey I was basically satisfied with the performance delivered by my players” says head coach Alexander Waibl.
“Fenerbahce is one out of two or three teams that can allegedly claim the crown. My team showed a good performance against such a world-class opponent and thereby we gained also experience for our next games. We are excited with our home debut and we want to deliver a good show also to the delight of our many fans” he adds.
“We have already sold 1’200 tickets and we know that our fans are waiting for a great Volleyball night. We are proud of being part of this unique competition and grateful to our sponsors, partners and fans that all helped us fulfill this dream” says Managing Director Sandra Zimmermann.
