Dresden, Germany, December 14, 2011. DRESDNER SC suffered tonight a third consecutive defeat in the prelims of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women by losing 1:3 (25-15, 20-25, 22-25, 23-25) to France’s ASPTT MULHOUSE. With this defeat the team around head coach Alexander Waibl remains at the bottom of the standings in Pool B, making it very difficult for the rookie to claim a spot for the 1/8 finals.

With the club President Jörg Dittrich sitting together with the fans and playing the drums there, the home players started well and dominated the game in the opening set (25-15). MULHOUSE got back on track in set 2 maintaining a good margin until the end (20-25). The guests played well also in the third set (0:3, 5:10) and eventually went for the 1:2 (22-25). MULHOUSE was not to stop also in set 4 eventually being able to win its first game in the group.

My team played really well tonight and the turning moment was the third set” says the head coach of ASPTT MULHOUSE, Magali Magail.

The difference tonight was made by their spiker Tatjana Bokan” adds home coach Waibl.
