New head coach of Russia Andrei Voronkov announced the composition of the team to participate in the World League 2013. It includes five players Kazan “Zenith”.
Among the candidates to participate in the most prestigious commercial tournament are five volleyball players from Kazan – Middle blocker Apalikov Nikolay and Alexander Volkov, Maxim Mikhailov oposite and receivers Eugene Shivozhelezov and Yuri Berezhko.

Andrei Voronkov called nine people who participated in the national team at London Olympic . The players who finished their career in the national team are Sergey Tetyukhin and two liberos – Alexis Obmochaev and Alexander Sokolov.
Voronkov included in the list libero Alexey Verbov and spiker Aleksey Spiridonov. During Vladimir Alekno the first one was not in the team, and the second one was dismissed because of the violation of the regime.
Russia will play the first matches of the tournament on June 7-8. In Kaliningrad, Russians will play against the national team of Iran. Also in the group “B” are Italy, Serbia, Cuba and Germany. In the “Final Six” World League, which will be held in Argentina, top two teams from each group will take part.
