Following the game and results crises, the two-time defending Polish women’s volleyball club champions, Grupa Azoty Chemik Police, parted ways with the head coach who had led the team since last spring.
Marek Mierzwiński ceased to be the head coach of Chemik following the crisis of the game and the results of the two-time defending champions of Poland. The 52-year-old expert has been working at Chemik for years. He began as an assistant coach before taking over as head coach last season. Mierzwiński’s assistant, Radosław Wodziński, will command Chemik in the Wednesday match of the CEV Champions League. The name of the new head coach will be announced soon.
Chemik are in a series of three consecutive defeats, two of which were in the TAURON Liga (where they occupy the third place in the standings) and one in the Champions League (second place in the pool).
