In an intense showdown at the men’s France Super Cup, Tours showcased their indomitable spirit. The reigning French champions, having clinched both the French Cup and the French Championship in the previous season, faced off against Chaumont, the formidable Championship finalists.

Tours faced a rocky start, falling in the first set (27-29). However, not one to be easily subdued, they made an impressive comeback, taking the next three sets (25-19, 25-21, 25-23). This not only marked their victory against Chaumont with a 3-1 scoreline but also earned them their illustrious fifth Super Cup in history. Aboubacar Drame Neto led the match by scoring 23 points, boasting a 57% attack rate along with 3 aces and 3 blocks. Anthoine Pothron chipped in with 15 points, while Mart Tammearu scored 14 for the victors. On Chaumont’s side, Filip Sestan stood out with 13 points, achieving a 59% attack rate, and Partick Indra contributed 12 points.
