Was this a wise thing to do? Lomas setter confronts referee, earns 2-game suspension (VIDEO)

Although they know they should not react furiously at the referees because they might earn a red card or even an expulsion, volleyball players sometimes cannot restrain themselves from doing so.

Lomas Vóley setter Maximiliano Chirivino did not manage to hold himself back from arguing with a referee. But, he went a step further as he tried to confront the umpire in the game against Obras de San Juan, played on January 20th.

And although Chirivino might have had a good reason for being pissed off with the referee (the ref did not see the ball clearly hit the leg of Chirivino, which means the rally needed to be continued instead of awarding a point for a win to Obras), Lomas setter went too far. Thus, Chirivino got himself a 2-game suspension from the Argentinean league.
