PGE Skra Bełchatów prevailed against, until this match, undefeated side in Pool C, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk from Russia, by a 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19) at the sold-out Energia gymnasium (more than 2,000 spectators). Thus, Skra kept their chances to advance to the Playoffs 12 alive.

The Serbian middle blocker Srećko Lisinac highlighted Skra with 15 points (2 aces) and 75% attack (12/16). The Polish side served 13 aces as a team!

As for Lokomotiv, who earned Playoffs 12 promotion by scoring a 4-0 record and dropping only one point prior to this game, there were no double-digit players on their roster. Their best scorer this season, the German Georg Grozer, played only the opening set.

PAOK-vs-Halkbank

PAOK Thessaloniki achieved their first win in the tournament as they outplayed Halkbank Ankara from Turkey in four sets in Pool B. The Greek titleholders will seek for the win the last round match-up of the group stage against the Finnish Ford Store Levoranta Sastamala to secure their Playoffs 12 ticket as the third-placed side. On the other hand, the defending champions of Turkey, Halkbank have already sealed their ticket to the next phase.

It seems that PAOK fans did not have fate in their favorite players as only 900 of them came to PAOK Palace Sport to give their support for the guys in the black and white jerseys.

The Bulgarian Nikolay Uchikov topped the hosts with 19 points. The Serbian Nemanja Petrić scored 16 points for Halkbank, while Faik Samet Güneş added 4 kill blocks (10 points).
