Gianlorenzo Blengini, the choice of the Italian VF, revives controversies around the coaches of all levels in the Italian volleyball that were never silenced, regarding to a conduct of the club and a national team at the same time.

“The Italian Association of Volleyball Coaches doesn’t question the expertise of Blengini, but only oppose on his dual role because this situation allows his club (Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova) to achieve clear advantages and puts the coach in the position that arouses understandable mistrust on him and doesn’t allow him to work with the necessary serenity,” it was said in the note.

Thus, the governing body of the Italian volleyball experts hopes that the Federation will regulate the issue, making the head coach of the national team a professional in every aspect of his job.

Blengini was the first choice of the President of Italian VF, Carlo Magri.

His club, Lube, considers to terminate the contract with Blengini.

Blengini already announced the list of players for the World Cup with two names back in the NT.
