The 10th edition of the tournament, played in the honor of a late member of Polish national team who died in a car accident in 2005, will be held on October 25-26 in Murowana Goślina.
It was announced that PlusLiga champions and vice-champions, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Lotos Trefl Gdańsk will take pat as well as AZS Częstochowa and BKS Bydgoszcz, but Resovia decided not to participate.
The organizer of the “Arkadiusz Gołaś Memorial” wrote an angry letter on the tournament’s Facebook profile accusing Andrzej Kowal, the coach of Resovia, for this decision and expressing the malcontent on his disrespect for character and work of a great player like Arkadiusz Gołaś.
