The Plus Liga side Stocznia Szczecin, who competed under the name Espadon Szczecin last season, officially hired world-famous volleyball name – Bartosz Kurek!

Ever since the rumor about Kurek’s engagement with Szczecin appeared in media, the fans in Poland were eager to see if they will watch superstar playing in their country again after a year.

Kurek struggled with a foot injury last season while wearing the jersey of the Turkish side Ziraat Bankası and started to play continuously only from February, finishing the season with 43% attack in average.

A 29-year-old opposite brings huge experience to Szczecin, which was crowned with the gold medal in the 2009 CEV European Championship and 2012 FIVB World League. On a club level, he conquered Polish championship and Polish cup three times each, and Italian championship and Italian Supercup once each.
