The aim of the CRC-RJ is to ensure that companies are willing to accept the challenge of promoting social and environmental policies, combining these two essential fronts for humanity. This year, 57 companies have received certification, including Banco do Brasil (the sponsor of Brazilian volleyball), Unimed (a health insurance), Eletrobras and CBV, the only sports management company to be recognized.

“This is an opportunity to show society how much we have done in this concept of social enterprise, sustainability, and we never had the chance to show. In addition, the certificate puts us in a different place in this sport’s market and adds more value to our investors and sponsors,” Jose Fardim, superintendent and accountant of CBV said.

This is the second certification received the CBV in 2011. In July, the institution won the 2011 Corporate Sustainability IBEF, in the Conflict Management category.
