Alice Degradi, (Italian national team and Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia outside hitter), underwent successful surgery performed by Prof. Raul Zini at Maria Cecilia Hospital in Cotignola. The procedure involved reconstructing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee. The post-operative recovery is expected to take 5-6 months before Degradi can return to the court.
Degradi expressed optimism after the operation, stating, “I am happy to start working towards returning to the field in the best possible condition.” She sustained the injury on July 11 in Florence during a training session with the Italian national team in preparation for the Paris Olympics.
