“Our goal in Champions League is to go to the next round but first, we need to win Vizura at home and also RC Cannes, but Vakifbank is too strong. We will do our best and we will see, but we want to go to the next round, that is true. We’ll do whatever it takes to achieve it.” said Lisa in an exclusive interview for WorldofVolley.
You started well in Italy, but please be honest, can you win scudetto?
“Yes, we won Supercup, but we have difficult matches in the domestic league. We play matches every second day and it’s not easy, we cannot practice much….but our goal is to win scudetto and national Cup…”
Is Italian league better than last season?
“It’s better, that’s for sure. The first three or four teams are really strong, and anyone can win or lose the match to each other, so it’s equal.”
Are you fed up of playing in Serie A1? This is your fourth season in Italy?
“Yes it’s my fourth season in Italy but the second in Piacenza. I‘m really happy in Italy, but I want to see other countries as well and try something different. Now, I just want to finish this season the best I can and then I’ll see what my options are. I look forward to the next season and I will do my best in this one.”
Is it too early to ask you about European Championship 2015? What are you expectations?
“It’s a little bit early to talk about it, but we are very excited because we will play in our country. We will try to do our best. I think it will not be easy to make the same result as last year (bronze medal) because it was surprise for us, too, but we have young team, we work hard, so we will see. I hope for the best.”
