Angelo Lorenzetti, charismatic coach of Diatec Trentino, will have particularly difficult task in the semifinal. Not only because his team faces Italian champions Azimut Modena but beacuse it was he who led them to the big title. For the first time in four years, Lorenzetti will not celebrate Modena’s wins and will not have suuport from the crowd at PalaPanini gymnasium. It will certainly be hard to hide emotions…
„I don’t know which emotions will come up. Now, I only know that I’m in a serene and grateful mood because I’ll come to the place where I felt good and where I worked with a lot of people who gave me many beautiful things. Moreover, I will be there because my team will play a beautiful and exciting competition. Then, only in that moment, I’ll know how will I feel and try to listen and manage that emotion to be useful for my players,“ Lorenzetti said for our website.
How would you describe the shape of your team at the moment?
„It’s not easy to answer correctly because I have been working with these guys only few times and I just don’t know what is their real potential and proper team’s target. However, I’m seeing that they have great motivation and invest effort in the gym. Therefore, I trust in them for the future,“ Trentino coach stated.
What are Trentino’s chances to win the Super Cup?
„We are aware of the strength of other teams and that we’ll play the first match with a team who has ’tricolore’ (three trophies in one season) and a silver star on its jersey. We’ll face this Super Cup with humbleness and with a learning attitude but also with spending all our energy to try to be protagonists at the highest level,“ Lorenzetti explained what thoughts he will instill in the heads of his players.
