“I expected a gold medal, but at the end we finished fourth. But that is not bad result considering how many great teams played at the EuroVolley. We are happy, Federation also, and so should be a Bulgarian nation, because this team is beautiful part of this country” – said Placi. “These players are young and they make you cheer and cry, like in some love story. However, I am impressed by their desire to win. Literally they gave everything against Poland, and on the very next day they managed to defeat Germany as well. This team is one of the best things that Bulgaria has. We should look positive. Medals will come, maybe when you last expect them” – concluded Italian coach.
