Italy coach Mauro Berutto: “I do not regret that Zaytsev is not in the list of players for the matches against Iran; he is a player and not a team. In comparison with the last match we had in Italy against Iran, the power of my team was below zero, as some of my players forgot what team they were playing for.”

Iran coach Slobodan Kovac: “I do not understand why you always ask if it was the main team of Italy or not; the Iranian players had a good performance tonight, and the Italians were not good enough to block our services. I was afraid before the match, but I am happy now as we had more experience and we played much better than we did in our away games in Italy. My knowledge of coaching in Italy, helped me a lot in analyzing the Italian players and their tactics, and finally win the game.”
